WE NEED YOU

Well the new year for the Youth of Zion is off to a great start. The first YOZ meeting of the season was held on September 13 and we started planning the upcoming Youth Group activities. Reservations have already been made to secure our spot at Rehoboth Beach for July 10-17, 2010. The cost for the week is $350. Please sign-up now. We will open the door to friends once we have given an opportunity to our own folk. $100 is required to secure your reservation. Checks can be made out to Zion Lutheran Church and given to Pastor Summer or Tom Gravel.

Plans are moving along to have a 4 day work camp experience right here in Dover, New Jersey. We will be staying at Trinity Lutheran Church in Dover. Just like this past summer, we would be joining with other high school students from around the area. It should be a great experience.

The Mother’s Day Pancake Breakfast was a huge success! Over 150 were served. Thanks to all who attended and supported this event. With Thrivent’s matching funds, over $2000 was raised for our Youth activities in Rehoboth Beach and Down & Dirty in Dover this summer. The kids also had a chance to make a last minute Mother’s Day card with the help of our Youth.

On May 16th the Youth assisted in the 8:30 and 11:00 am services. Thank you one and all for making the day so special. We are still getting rave reviews.
